Use cases from everyday work
This is what it looks like when confidential data almost ends up in an AI chat – and what AImori does then. The check runs locally in the browser; no text leaves your device.
All use cases are made up. They show typical situations, not real companies, people or incidents. There are no customer testimonials on this page.
Example 1: Accounting firm with a payroll list
Situation (example): An accountant pastes a payroll list from her spreadsheet into an AI chat to have the payroll checked.
What AImori catches: social security numbers and IBANs, the list itself as a table with personal data and – via custom terms – client codes set by IT.
Result: "Pasting paused". With Insert redacted, the field only shows categories such as [Financial data] instead of the numbers; the AI can still check the structure of the list.
Example 2: Medical practice with patient data
Situation (example): A medical assistant wants an AI to polish a letter to a health insurer. The draft contains the patient's name, date of birth, health insurance card number and diagnosis.
What AImori catches: the health insurance card number and date of birth, and via the local AI model also the name and the health detail about the person.
Result: "Sending paused". With Placeholders, the name becomes something like [PERSON_1]; AImori shows the AI's answer with the real values in a separate view.
Limit: Freely paraphrased findings without a recognisable pattern can slip through. Health data generally does not belong in a public AI chat.
Example 3: Developer with an API key
Situation (example): A developer copies a configuration file together with the error message into an AI chat. It contains an API key and a database connection with a password.
What AImori catches: API keys and tokens from many providers, connection strings with passwords and private keys.
Result: "Pasting paused". He pastes the file redacted and still gets help. If a key has already been sent, the only fix is to revoke it at the provider and create a new one.
Example 4: HR with a CV
Situation (example): An HR specialist copies a CV into the AI chat to have it summarised.
What AImori catches: the applicant's name, address, email, phone number and date of birth, and depending on the country pack also the social security number.
Result: She pastes the text redacted; the AI summarises education and experience.
Limit: If she uploads the PDF itself, AImori does not check the file and shows "Files are not checked – share only non-confidential files". Your company can block file uploads by policy.
Example 5: Customer service with a refund
Situation (example): A customer service agent types in a customer's message, including the IBAN for the refund, to have a reply drafted.
What AImori catches: the IBAN while he is still typing, plus email address and phone number.
Result: He redacts with one click. If IT has set IBAN to "Block", the text can only be sent after it has been changed.
