The essentials
AImori is a free browser extension for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. It checks what you type into AI chats, locally on your device, for sensitive data such as IBANs, social security numbers or passwords – before it is sent. No account, no server, no network access.
- Checks on send, paste and upload – including text in screenshots. If AImori finds sensitive data, nothing goes out. You decide: redact, insert placeholders, rephrase safely, edit, or – with a second click – send anyway.
- Warns while you type: A narrow bar above the input field shows what was detected – never the value itself.
- Stays on your device: The extension has few permissions, used only locally, and no network access. It only gets access to further sites if you agree.
- Is an aid against mistakes: not complete protection. What is not checked is listed under Supported sites.
This documentation describes version 0.1.0 (as of 18 October 2026).
