| Red "!" on the icon | Input field or send button of the site not recognised (the AI site was redesigned). A new version adapts the detection. With blockWhenInactive, the extension then blocks sending and pasting. |
| Coloured dot on the icon (red, yellow, green) | Not an error but the training traffic light: red means the AI site uses input for training by default according to the provider; yellow partly or unclear; green no training for this account type. Click the icon → "Open opt-out setting". AImori cannot see your own account setting, so the colour stays even after you opt out. IT can turn the traffic light off with trainingAmpel. |
| Setting cannot be changed | Set by policy (padlock icon). For IT: edge://policy or chrome://policy → "Reload policies". |
| "Send anyway" is missing | Your organisation has turned it off (allowUserOverride=false) or the data type is set to "Redact only" or "Block". |
| "Send anyway" has no effect | It needs two clicks: the button turns into "Really send?" – click it again within 4 seconds. |
| "Text could not be checked (too long or too complex)" | Input over 200,000 characters or check took longer than 150 ms. AImori warns instead of letting it through silently. Shorten or split the text. |
| "Image could not be checked – not inserted" or "Image check took too long – not inserted" | The image is too large (over 10 MB or 25 megapixels), the format cannot be checked, there were more than 4 images at once or the check took over 20 seconds. AImori then does not let the image through silently. Crop the image or insert images one at a time. "Insert image anyway" is only offered if your organisation allows it. |
| "Local AI: inactive – rules only (reason)" | The local model for names, companies and addresses could not load; the reason is in brackets (e.g. "loading took too long"). The rules continue to protect you. Restart the browser; if the error remains, update the browser – on older devices the model may not run. "not loaded yet" resolves itself, "off – rules only" means it was switched off in the settings. |
| False alarm | Choose "Not sensitive" in the dialog (applies to this value for 30 days) or set the data type to "Off" or "Warn" in the settings or via rules. Feel free to report false alarms with a made-up example. |
| "Files are not checked – share only non-confidential files" | Appears for files AImori cannot read, such as PDF or Word. Images (PNG, JPEG, WebP) are checked with local text recognition; tables (CSV, XLSX) and text files are checked for customer lists, hidden instructions and – if your organisation has set this up – parts of company documents. With blockUncheckedFiles your organisation can block file uploads on AI sites. |
| Extension missing or turned off | Check under chrome://extensions or edge://extensions that AImori is turned on; otherwise reinstall it from the Chrome Web Store (Chrome, Edge). |
| Edge: "Add to Chrome" is missing | In the Chrome Web Store, first choose "Allow extensions from other stores" (Install in Edge). |
