Branding (white label)
Policy object branding – all fields optional:
On this page
| Field | Rule | Effect |
|---|---|---|
productName | 1–40 characters | Name in popup, dialog, settings and texts; a custom name appears as plain text |
companyName | max. 80 characters | "Managed by …" note and subtitle |
logo | data:image/png;base64,… or data:image/svg+xml;base64,…, max. approx. 100 KB | Logo in the popup, the warning bar, the settings, the evidence report (PNG only there) and the AI literacy record; displayed as an image only. PNG only with a PNG signature, SVG without scripts, event attributes, style, embedded content and external references – otherwise the default icon appears |
primaryColor | #rrggbb | Signet (then single-coloured) and main button (Redact); with too little contrast (below 3:1 against the background) the default colour applies. "Send anyway" always stays neutral |
accentColor | #rrggbb | Highlight of the match (underline); same contrast rule |
supportUrl | https:// only | "Support" link (opens only on click, without referrer) |
supportText | max. 200 characters | Note below the dialog |
aiNoticeText | max. 200 characters, plain text only | Sentence on AI sites that are not approved (aiSiteMode), e.g. "Please use our company Copilot."; empty = default text |
aiNoticeUrl | https:// only, no user name or password, max. 2000 characters | Button to the approved AI tool (opens only on click in a new tab, without referrer); takes precedence over suggestedAiSite; invalid = no button |
aiNoticeLinkText | max. 60 characters | Button text; empty = default text |
Sample with all fields: enterprise/example-policy.json in the source code (fictitious company).
Convert the logo
A logo URL deliberately does not work: the extension has no network access. The logo is therefore written into the policy as a data URI. Review before running; the example only reads your own image file:
$bytes = [IO.File]::ReadAllBytes('C:\Path\logo.png')
'data:image/png;base64,' + [Convert]::ToBase64String($bytes)For several customers with their own logo each, scripts/mandanten.mjs creates the rollout files and checks logos more strictly (PNG at most 64 KB, SVG at most 32 KB).
Limits
The name in the browser's extension menu and in the store, as well as the toolbar icon, cannot be changed via policy. For a fully custom package, name, translations and icons are adapted in the extension package and rebuilt.
